T&R Theakston Brewery is an independent, family company founded in 1827 and located in the heart of Masham. The company is controlled and run by direct descendants of the founder Robert Theakston. The Visitor Centre makes for a fascinating visit – see the operation of one of the oldest working breweries in the country, considered an icon in British brewing and famed as the home of one of the world’s most famous beers – Theakston Old Peculier.
