A Tale of 2 Punishments

 “Once a place to reflect (by force or by famine). Now a winding way to wilder ground.” 

By the old Poor House, a traditional lock-up where drunks would have been left to recover when The Masham Court of the Peculier was in residence.  The  School house dates back to a time when corporal punishment would have been doled out to misbehaving pupils and is the start of the swift trail.
