Arthur Plumpton Snr (1934 - 2019) Barber here for 60 years, seller of fishing supplier and Robin Reliant fan.
In 1959, Arthur opened his first shop behind Beavers in Masham, later moving to 45 Silver St, cutting over 30,000 heads in 60 years. Known for driving Reliant three-wheelers (he never passed his car test), he also supplied fishing tackle and flies, working six days a week and cutting hair until age 86.
