Reginald Grange Brundritt (1883 - 1960) RA Painter had his studio here

Though trained at the Slade and exhibited widely—including over 200 works at the Royal Academy—he chose the quiet of Yorkshire over the bustle of London. His Masham studio, converted from a garage beside St. Mary’s Church, featured an unusual glass wall to harness natural light. Brundrit painted local scenes like Nutwith Common, now held by the Tate. Despite national acclaim and election to the Royal Academy, he remained grounded in Masham, where his work and eccentric studio left a lasting artistic legacy.
